The US government announced a new $470 billion program to support small businesses, including $310 billion to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program which ran out of money last week.

President Trump announced that he will be signing an executive order to suspend immigration into America. Volatility continued in the oil market with Brent crude falling below $20. The first home testing kit for COVID-19 was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in America.

Singapore announced that it will extend its partial shutdown for a further three weeks as the number of cases of the coronavirus increased. The UK announced that human trials for a vaccine for COVID-19 will start on Thursday. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was reported to be seriously ill after undergoing cardiovascular surgery.
