Lou Cucciniello

Head of Diversifying Assets and co-manager of Risk Premia

Louis is Head of Diversifying Assets at Pacific. Prior to joining in 2016, Louis worked at Deutsche Bank for 10 years, most recently as the Managing Director and the Global Head of Multi- Asset Trading where he created, traded and managed over $5bn of risk premia strategies. In this role, Louis and his team developed and managed quantitative alternative investments. He holds degrees in Applied & Engineering Physics, Quantitative Finance, and Data/Computer science from Cornell University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Chris Smith

Operations Manager

Chris is an Operations Manager at Pacific. Prior to joining Pacific in 2021, he spent over 8 years at GAM Investments where he was responsible for the oversight of all fixed income trading activity relating to the Fixed income portfolio businesses for all asset classes. Prior to that he spent 4 years at J.P. Morgan in various operational roles. Chris has a B.A in Business Studies from Bournemouth University.

Conrad Lee

Conrad joined North of South as a Senior Analyst in January 2024. He began his experience in high yield and leveraged finance and held positions in this sector at firms including Dresdner Kleinwort, RBS, and Stifel KBW. Conrad holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford. Additionally, he is a fluent Korean speaker.

Nneoma is Chief Compliance Officer at North of South having joined in March 2022. Her responsibilities include maintaining the Compliance infrastructure within the Firm and ensuring ongoing Compliance with laws and regulations. Alex is a Python Developer within the Operations and Technology team at Pacific. Prior to joining Pacific in 2024, she was a Graduate Scientific Software Engineer at Materials Nexus, a deep tech AI and quantum mechanics company that focuses on amplifying net-zero technologies. Alex has an MSc in Maths from the University of Bristol.

Veronica is the Head of Operations at Pacific. Veronica joined in September 2017 with over 18 years of experience in operations. This including over a decade’s experience as Senior Operations Specialist at Eton Park International.  Prior to that she spent three years at Caxton Asset Management as a Senior Operations Analyst. Veronica has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, Australia.

CHIEF SUSTAINABILITY OFFICER

Will Thompson is the CSO and Portfolio Manager for PAM’s Sustainable Multi-Asset Solutions and part of the Multi-Asset Investment team. Prior to joining PAM in 2020, Will was a Senior Portfolio Manager in the UK Multi-Asset team within HSBC AMG. Will was responsible for running the World Selection, Global Strategy and Multi-Asset Sustainable fund ranges with total AUM of $14bn. Will holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Durham University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Prior to joining Pacific, Seb spent 11 years at emerging market specialist, Somerset Capital Management LLP where he had been a Partner, Head of Client Services and latterly Deputy Head of Marketing. Seb helped grow the firm from $1.5bn to $10bn in AUM, working with institutional and wholesale clients across the world, with a particular focus on pension funds, foundations, endowments, family offices and investment consultants in the US.

Ben was appointed Partner to establish Pacific's DFM Solutions for Advisers in September 2017. Prior to this, Ben held senior positions at Puma (Shore) Capital, and UK FinTech firm, Seedrs. Previous to that he helped GAM establish and build their £1bn risk-rated portfolio solutions business for Advisers. Ben has over a decade of professional experience and holds the Investment Management Certificate I & II.

Ben is a CFA charterholder and former Senior Portfolio Manager at Pictet Asset Management, where he co-led International Equity Portfolios for a decade, managing several billion USD for institutional clients. He specialised in Japanese and Asia-Pacific small/mid-cap equities and oversaw top-rated funds including the AMG-Pictet International Fund (Morningstar 5-star, 2018) and the Litman Gregory ‘Masters’ Fund. He began his career in 2008 as a US equity and energy analyst and holds a first-class BA in Economics and Economic History from York University.

Mary Murphy

Partner - Head of Distribution (Single Manager Strategies)

Mary is a Partner and Head of Distribution for Pacific’s Single Manager business. She joined from GAM, where she was Head of Global Consultant Relations. Prior to that, she was Head of UK Investment Consultant Strategy within BlackRock’s Global Consultant Relations (EMEA) team. Earlier in her career, Mary held sales roles at Deutsche Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors.

Daniel joined Pacific in 2024 as a Portfolio Analyst on the Multi-Asset Investment team. In this role, he focuses on asset allocation, manager research, and security selection. Prior to joining Pacific, Daniel served as an Investment Director at The Private Office, where he managed a range of active, passive, and sustainable portfolios. Daniel holds a Master's in Finance from London Business School and is a CFA Charterholder.

Disha joined Pacific in January 2023 as Compliance Manager. Prior to joining Pacific, Disha was Senior Compliance Officer at SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited on a 1-year fixed contract basis. Prior to that, Disha was Head of Core Compliance at Evelyn Partners (previously Tilney Smith & Williamson) from June 2006 to March 2021. Disha is a qualified solicitor and holds the LPC.

Tony is a Senior Analyst at North of South. Tony has over 25 years of industry and stock analysis experience gained at a number of well-known Taiwanese technology companies. Prior to joining North of South, Tony was well known to the team in his roles at United Overseas Bank of United Overseas Bank of Singapore and the Taiwanese brokerage firm Sinopac Securities, where he recommended China and Asian technology companies.

He was the Deputy Head of UK Equities at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he was jointly responsible for $1bn in AUM. Prior to that he was the Director of Research for Industrials and Portfolio Manager for the North America Fund at Martin Currie, an Edinburgh-based equity manager.

Richard launched Viewforth in 2018 and was a founding partner at Abberton Capital, a European mid-cap, equity L/S fund with $500m AUM. He was previously and analyst focusing on European mid-caps at THS Partners, an $8bn investment management firm. Before this, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Goldman Sachs, working on $140bn of transactions.

Laura is an Senior Investment Analyst and joined Pacific in 2020 when Parallel Investment Management became part of the PAM Group. Laura provides fund selection analysis, performance attribution, and asset allocation for Pacific’s multi-asset solutions range. Prior to joining Parallel in 2013 Laura worked as part of the client services administration team with investment trading platform provider, Novia Financial plc.

Simon has over 18 years professional experience and has held several marketing positions at blue chip firms including Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Lloyd’s of London.

Adella is Head of Client Engagement in Pacific’s Global Solutions team, she joined Pacific in 2021 as an Analyst within the Compliance and Marketing departments. Before joining Pacific, Adella studied at The London Institute of Banking and Finance and graduated with a First Class BSc Hons degree in Banking & Finance.

Chief Investment Officer

Will is the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of Pacific’s range of multi-asset funds. Prior to joining Pacific, he worked at HSBC Asset management for 17 years, most recently as Portfolio Manager of a $5bn range of multi-asset funds. He was also the Chairman of their Tactical Asset Allocation Committee, responsible for the tactical positioning of HSBC’s $30bn wealth business.

James was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2019. Prior to joining Pacific, James was Head of Investment Operations at GAM for over 20 years. He also held positions with Standard Bank of South Africa and Barclays at their offshore locations. James is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Before joining Pacific in 2025, John spent 15 years at Jupiter where he was responsible for banks, insurance companies and cross border accounts. He previously spent almost six years as sales director for Investec Asset Management.

He has worked in fund management and investment banking for 29 years and has actively managed portfolios since 1999 with an excellent track record in G10 government bonds, interest rates and FX.

Matthew Linsey

Matthew Linsey is Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at North of South Capital LLP, with overall responsibility for stock selection and top-down asset allocation themes. Prior to founding North of South Capital LLP in 2004, he was the Head of Emerging Markets Equities at Deutsche Asset Management from 2000-2004.

Nick Lemis is the Global Head of Wholesale, responsible for distributing PAM’s single manager range of funds. Nick joined from DCI where he was Senior Product Specialist with responsibility for distributing DCIs product range and investment capabilities to a broad range of clients in Europe. Prior to joining DCI, Nick was Head of UK Wholesale Distribution at GAM covering Intermediaries, Advisers, Private banks and Investment managers across UK, Ireland, Africa and Greece. Nick began his career at Tradition Brokers.

Marcin Kenig joined North of South in 2024, bringing six years of expertise in fund accounting from his tenure at State Street Bank, where he honed his skills in financial operations and process optimisation. At North of South, Marcin plays a pivotal role in strengthening the fund accounting function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the firm’s operations framework. He holds a Master’s degree in IT Project Management.

Ramesh is a former Partner and Portfolio Manager at Veritas Asset Management, with 11 years in global fundamental equity research and portfolio management. He previously spent 5 years at Fidelity as a global industrials and utilities analyst and sector portfolio manager. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent software developer. Ramesh holds a Computer Science & Engineering degree from Cochin University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Matthew was appointed Chief Executive Officer in October 2016. Prior to joining Pacific, Matthew was Managing Director and Global Head of Liquid Alternative Investment Sales at Deutsche Asset Management. From 2003-2015, Matthew worked at GAM where he was the UK and Middle East Head of Institutional and Funds distribution and Global Head of retail multi-asset sales.

Ross Wright

Head of Direct Indexing & Quantitative Investments

Ross Wright is Head of Direct Indexing and Quantitative Investments and joined Pacific in June 2021. Ross, who spent over 15 years at Deutsche Bank between 2003-18 in various senior trading roles, played a pivotal role in the rapid expansion of the bank’s award-winning Fund Derivatives business, helping create a robust, risk-controlled infrastructure. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2003 he spent six years at UBS, establishing the firm’s fund derivatives trading platform. Ross holds a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London.

Ben joined the Finance Department at Pacific in April 2025. Prior to this, he worked at S&W within the Financial Services audit team. Ben studied at Cardiff University, graduating with a BSc in Economics, and is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Michael Jones

Chief Financial Officer

Michael joined the team in March 2021 having spent three years as the Group Financial Controller at Pacific Investments working closely with the PAM team. Prior to this, Michael was within KPMG's audit team, working specifically with Investment Management clients. Michael holds a BSC in Mathematics from University of Bristol and is a ICAEW chartered accountant.

Christopher King

Associate Director

Chris King is an Associate Director at Pacific and joined in April 2020. He is primarily focussed on distribution of PAM’s single manager range of funds. Prior to this, Chris spent 4 years at Sabre Fund Management where he worked as a Business Development Analyst, covering investor relations and promotion of quantitative equity hedge funds.

Robell Nicola

Operations Analyst

Robell is an Operations Analyst within the Operations and Technology team at Pacific. Prior to joining Pacific in 2023, he was a Financial Operations Analyst at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners. Robell holds a BSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Essex.

Nick Page

Head of Research - North of South Capital LLP

Nick joined the firm in 2022 as a Senior Analyst, bringing with him over twenty years of investment experience. Before joining North of South, Nick served as a Senior Analyst/VP at Fiera Capital, where he focused on emerging markets within the Global Energy and Global Materials sectors. Prior to his role at Fiera Capital, Nick held equity research positions at ADIA, Dresdner Kleinwort, and Citigroup Asset Management. He holds a Master's degree in MChem Chemistry from the University of Leeds.

Ruriko Fujita

Operations Associate - North of South Capital LLP

Ruriko joined North of South in 2011. She is responsible for the day to day operational function of the company including trade bookings, settlements, portfolio reconciliations and NAVs. She has a strong background in finance and accounting, having received a MSc in International Finance and is currently working towards her ACCA accounting qualification.

Steven Painter

Head of Technology

Steven is Pacific’s Head of Technology. Prior to joining Pacific in 2022, he spent 8 years at Cantab Capital Partners as Head of Data. Before that, Steven spent over 20 years at Goldman Sachs, where he held various senior operational and technology positions.

Tim Eyles

Chairman & Non Executive Director

Tim is a senior Board Chair with a portfolio of roles across a range of sectors including financial services, business services, healthcare, technology and the arts. Apart from his role at PAM, these include being Chair of Centralis Group (the market-leading international provider of corporate services to some of the world’s leading corporations & institutions), Chair of Celsus (the UK’s leading supplier of clinical workforce solutions to the NHS), and Chair of the RSA (Royal Society of Arts).

Tim is former International Board Chair & Managing Partner at global professional services firm Taylor Wessing which he led through a period of transformational growth from 2009 to 2018.

Henry Beckwith

Non Executive Director

Henry is Financial Services and Asset Management Director at Pacific Investments. In 2011 he became a founding shareholder of Zorin, a leading provider of alternative finance for the UK property market and In 2012 he co-founded Argentex, Pacific’s foreign exchange specialist which now has turnover in excess of £12bn.

The company was admitted to AIM in June 2019. Henry is a graduate of Newcastle University and a member of both the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Society of Technical Analysis.

Matthew Lamb

Chief Executive Officer: Executive Director

Matthew was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Asset Management in October 2016. Prior to joining Pacific Asset Management in October 2016, Matthew was Managing Director and Global Head of Liquid Alternative Investment Sales at Deutsche Asset Management. Responsible for the product development and distribution of the asset management’s entire liquid alternative offering. Including, Hedge Funds, Insurance Linked Securities, Liquid Real Assets and Deutsche AM’s multi-asset alternative risk premia offering.

Between 2003 and 2015, Matthew worked at GAM where he was the UK and Middle East Head of Institutional and Funds distribution and Global Head of retail multi-asset sales.

James Davidson

Chief Operations Officer: Executive Director

James was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2019. Prior to joining Pacific, James was Head of Investment Operations at GAM for over 20 years. He also held positions with Standard Bank of South Africa and Barclays at their offshore locations. James is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Amrusta BLIGNAUT

Chief compliance Officer: Executive Director

Amrusta is the Chief Compliance Officer at Pacific. Her responsibilities include the management of the firm’s regulatory framework and ensuring ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations. Prior to joining in 2015, she was Chief Compliance Officer at Halkin Asset Management Limited. Before that, she spent 13 years at Coronation International Limited as Compliance Manager with the overall responsibility for the group’s UK regulatory framework.

Summer Internships 2025

We are recruiting for interns across various departments to join us at PAM next summer. Our internships are ideal for first and second year students seeking the first step in their career. The paid internships will be running from Tuesday 24th June – Thursday 21st August 2025.
